- 2024 Softball Schedule
LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The College of West Alabama softball staff has launched this system’s 2024 schedule, introduced by head coach Stephanie Defeo.
The Tigers will kick off the season on the coast on the Gulf Shores Invitational, the place they are going to tackle Nova Southeastern and St. Leo in a back-to-back on Feb. 2. The Feb. 3 slate sees the staff tackle Lubbock Christian and North Georgia. The ladies will shut out their Gulf Shores competitors with a morning showdown in opposition to Spring Hill on Feb 4.
The ladies will keep on the shoreline as they head to Daytona Seaside, Florida, for the Daytona Seaside Invitational Feb. 11th of September. Competitors opens on Feb. 9 as West Alabama will tackle the host in Embry-Riddle together with Tampa. The subsequent day sees UWA rematch with Tampa and tackle Eckerd in a back-to-back. The Feb. 11 conclusion will see the Tigers face Eckerd and Embry-Riddle to finish Daytona Seaside play.
Gulf South Convention play opens with a weekend highway journey to Union Feb. 17-18 to wrap up the staff’s 14-game, season-opening highway swing.
UWA’s residence opener will see the Tigers tackle the Argos of West Florida on the UWA Softball Advanced Feb. 23-24. The collection will open Friday, Feb. 23 at 5 p.m. and conclude with two contests at 1 and three p.m. the next day.
Convention play continues the next weekend with a highway matchup with the Warhawks of Auburn Montgomery March 1-2. The collection will start on Friday evening adopted by a Saturday doubleheader to shut out play.
The ladies will keep on the highway for a midweek twin invoice in opposition to Spring Hill March 5.
The Tigers will journey again to Livingston for a five-game residence stand beginning with Valdosta State in a weekend collection March 10-11, adopted by a midweek non-conference doubleheader with Georgia Southwestern State on March 12.
UWA will head to Mississippi the next weekend to tackle Delta State in a weekend collection March 16-17. The competitors will open with a doubleheader on Saturday adopted by the conclusion on Sunday.
West Alabama will return residence March 23-24 to tackle West Georgia in a GSC collection. Play opens on Saturday with a double header adopted by the Sunday nearer at 1 p.m. Following a midweek doubleheader with Columbus State, the ladies will return again residence for a five-game residence stand led off by a GSC collection with Mississippi School March 29-30. The next Tuesday, the house staff will tackle Tuskegee in a midweek doubleheader to shut out the house stand.
UWA’s penultimate highway journey can have the guests taking over the Flames of Lee in Cleveland, Tennessee April 6-7.
The Tigers will return to Livingston for his or her ultimate residence stand beginning April 16 as they tackle Spring Hill. The primary pitch of the doubleheader is ready for two p.m.
The ladies shut out residence discipline play with a weekend collection in opposition to the Chargers of Alabama Huntsville April 19-20. Play opens with a single recreation Friday at 5 p.m., adopted by the doubleheader nearer Saturday at 1 p.m.
UWA will shut out common season play with a five-game highway journey, starting with Miles School in a midweek doubleheader on April 24. The GSC common season wraps up at Shorter April 27-28.
Gulf South Convention Championship play will happen at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Alabama from Might 1-4. The format will stay unchanged because the top-eight groups qualify for the event and it’ll take two losses to eradicate a competitor from the competitors.
