The cashless payment program has been officially implemented on Phan Chu Trinh street and will continue to expand to other streets in the city of Buon Ma Thuot. This helps businesses and residents develop habits towards smart and modern consumption, contributing to the rapid digital transformation process in the area.
To every alley - Tapping every shop
Immediately after the launch event, the Vietnam E-commerce Association, Vitrade Community Connection, and Viettin Bank conducted surveys and provided support to business households along Phan Chu Trinh street. Many shoppers had the opportunity to experience and enjoy various incentives and policies from credit institutions, payment intermediaries, retailers, and service providers, helping them form new habits in buying and selling transactions.

Present early on the first day of deployment, Ms. Dinh Thi Thu Ha - Deputy Head of Customer Service for Enterprises at Viettin Bank, stated that we have collaborated with survey teams to guide business customers in account access, opening accounts, and introducing payment programs such as salary payment and QR code payment. Most of the stores actively joined to reduce the risks of cash transactions, such as counterfeit money and insufficient circulation. In addition, we have provided free assistance to residents in opening accounts, using payment channels, and providing free, aesthetically pleasing QR code payment forms for business households to promote online transactions.
Being chosen as the first participant in the program, Ms. Vu Thi May - owner of a flower shop at 84 Phan Chu Trinh in Buon Ma Thuot city, happily mentioned that cashless payment has become a trend in the past two years, especially since the outbreak of COVID-19. The store participating in the cashless payment program has received positive support from bank staff and other suppliers, not only in payment transactions but also in brand promotion. We proactively created multiple bank accounts and QR codes for convenient customer payments.
According to Ms. May, although her store had previously generated a QR code for Momo e-wallet and bank account numbers to facilitate customer payments, only about 50% of customers used this method. Cashless payment will help Ms. May easily manage the store's revenue even when she is away, avoiding the risk of losing or theft of cash. Ms. May hopes that the "Cashless Payment Street" program, including her store, will spread the application of technology to everyone, thereby minimizing cash payments made by customers.
Approaching the program on its opening day, Mr. Nguyen Cong Du - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the clean fruit system FUJI, expressed excitement and stated that with 50 retail points nationwide, we see this as a meaningful program that enhances transparency in payments for the people. We will maintain multi-channel sales and actively cooperate with the province to improve service quality and provide convenience for the people.

There is no need to carry cash and it reduces the hassle of waiting for small change. It is suitable for the current consumer trend. Customers only need to bring a smartphone to easily make payments for everything.
Expanding to more streets
According to Mr. Tran Duc Nhat, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City, cashless payment is gradually becoming a part of people's lives and a new consumer habit. The implementation of the Cashless Payment Street program is a meaningful activity that aligns with the practicality and social trend. Buon Ma Thuot City has identified digital transformation and administrative reform as a priority in building a digital society and a digital citizenry. The People's Committee will closely collaborate with departments, sectors, and units in implementing the Cashless Payment Street program, and then expand it to other major business and service streets, especially with solutions regarding safety, security, and awareness campaigns to help people see the benefits and actively engage in cashless business and shopping
